IThe fulcrum of the “Paladino itinerary” is Piazza della Vittoria, certainly one of Brescia’s most emblematic locations, today no longer encumbered by its “piacentinian” rhetoric.

Here Paladino has placed six of his most emblematic totems: the first two are a Brescian re-edition of Sant’Elmo and of Scriba (Scribe), two artworks that for their size and collocation lend a very plastic connotation to Brescia’s highly geometrical square. The other sculptures are: the five-metre high 1999 Zenith equestrian bonze and aluminium statue, the large Zenith ring, Untitled (Star) set upon a liquid surface, and lastly, Stele, an imposing black marble figure reminiscent of the twentieth-century avant-garde spirit that was designed by Paladino especially for this exhibition.
